Dr. Mahmoud Mahafzah, an expert in diagnosing and treating respiratory cancers and diseases, joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Phoenix, in February 2019. He is determined to find the right treatment for each one of his patients with lung cancer or other cancers affecting the lungs. He also provides care to patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia and pulmonary hypertension, among others. At CTCA®, Dr. Mahafzah works with each patient to develop an integrative and personalized treatment plan. He educates his patients and their family members, taking as much time as needed, so that they understand their treatment options. Dr. Mahafzah wants them to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their concerns, believing that this empowers his patients to take an active role in the treatment decision-making process.
